Blogger’s Preface: On September 11, 2001 I was in Japan as an Invited Professor of Research at Tokyo Institute of Technology. I first learned of the attacks on the World Trade center when our son called from France awakening my wife and me with the sad news. Like most Americans I went into a kind of shock and accepted without questioning the official “conspiracy theory” [which supposed that the attacks were carried out by 19 Muslim Arabs with little or no experience flying airplanes who somehow outwitted the CIA, the FBI, all 16 US intelligence agencies, the National Security Council, the State Department, NORAD, and airport security at four separate airports ...resulting in absolutely zero disciplinary actions taken against any of the responsible personnel].
It was 4 years and 5 weeks later when after completing my public lecture on 2004 poll-worker election rigging in Tucson, Arizona, I was approached by a couple of 9/11 “truthers” from Phoenix who supposed that I too must have been into 9/11 truth. When I said that I wasn’t, they gave me a quick lecture including Project Northwoods, a CIA-planned false-flag shooting down of a supposed U.S. airliner to be blamed on Castro’s Cuba. That and other things they told me proved sufficient to convince me on the spot that the 9/11 attacks were also false-flag events. Subsequently I made up for lost time by studying much of the important evidence out on the internet. I then put together my own hypothesis of how the 9/11 attacks were really carried out by incorporating two outrageous USAF aviation events in the vicinity of the Pentagon that I had witnessed many years before, back when I was a Research Physicist at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) located on the banks of the Potomac River not far from the Pentagon. My hypothesis can be downloaded here.
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), another large US government laboratory, is located 25 miles northwest of NRL as the crow flies. A very good laboratory overall, it has now disgraced itself by promulgating totally unscientific “explanations” for the 9/11/01 collapses of the three World Trade Center towers: Numbers 1, 2, and 7. I would feel dirty if NRL had originated such trash: It is fake-science deliberately crafted and promulgated purely for political reasons.
In the two excellent videos below you will meet many of the highly accomplished architects, engineers, and physical scientists who have studied the evidence in great detail and concluded as I have that the official “conspiracy theory” of the 9/11 attacks does not match the facts. The most renowned scientist you will meet in these videos is the late Lynn Margulis (whose peer recognition far exceeds that of her better known first husband, Carl Sagan). Lynn Margulis was an independent, gifted and spirited biologist who learned as early as the fourth grade to “tell bullshit from ... real authentic experience”, as she put it in a 2004 interview. With courage, intellect, a twinkle in her eyes and considerable fortitude, she changed our view of cellular evolution.
In 1967, she made the revolutionary case that simple bacteria were incorporated into some early cells to produce the organelles that let plants photosynthesize and animals consume oxygen. This process of endosymbiosis altered Earth by providing plants for animals to eat and additional oxygen for them to breathe.
Her success did not come easily.
She had to stand up for her ideas and accept repeated rejections. She submitted her radical paper to a dozen journals before it was published. (snip)
Her research earned her the US President's National Medal of Science, the Darwin–Wallace Medal of the Linnean Society of London, and election to the US National Academy of Sciences and to the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (as one of only three American members).

"You can't do science when you're deprived of the evidence and your hypothesis is the least valid, instead of the most likely. And the most likely hypothesis in the case of Building 7 wasn't even mentioned [in NIST’s report]. This is not science. It's trying to prove preconceived ideas."
