One 77-year-old’s search for the truth: 9/11, election fraud, illegal wars, Wall Street criminality, a stolen nuke, the neocon wars, control of the U.S. government by global corporations, the unjustified assault on Social Security, media complicity, and the "Great Recession" about to become the second Great Depression. "The most important truths are hidden from us by the powerful few who strive to steal the American dream by keeping We the People in the dark."

Tomorrow the Congress and the President will decide who or what will be sacrificed to the gods of sequestration. Will it be Social Security, Medicare, Medicade, education and food stamps -- or will the giant corporations, many of which have managed to pay no taxes at all, be dunned to pay enough taxes to cover any short fall. Surely 99% of all Americans would vote for the latter ...but most of the Congress has been paid off by the 1% and Obama is under easily imaginable pressure.

AS ELECTION DAY APPROACHES TV VIEWERS ARE ASSAULTED DAILY BY PARTISAN POLITICAL ADS. ONE OF THEM FEATURES AN ELDERLY GENTLEMAN CLAIMING HE GREW UP IN A SOCIALIST COUNTRY WHERE EVERYONE GREW POORER BECAUSE THEY WERE DE-INCENTIVIZED BY GOVERNMENT HANDOUTS. SO (NEVER MIND THAT THERE ARE ABOUT 5 JOB SEEKERS FOR EVERY AVAILABLE JOB IN THE U.S.) HE ADVOCATES VOTING FOR THE PARTY THAT PROMISES TO CUT SOCIAL SECURITY (NEVER MIND THAT IT IS PREPAID BY PAYROLL TAXES), FOOD STAMPS (LET THEM STARVE), AND MEDICARE (LET THEM SUFFER). YET BOTH PARTIES, ONCE ELECTED TO HIGH OFFICE (AND LOOKING FOR CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS), PASS LAWS GIVING AWAY OBSCENE AMOUNTS OF TAXPAYER MONEY TO THE GIANT CORPORATIONS (e.g. WALMART) AND THE FILTHY RICH (e.g. GEORGE W BUSH) DE-INCENTIVIZING THEM FROM EVER DOING ANYTHING BENEFITING THE LOWLY TAXPAYER.

MICHAEL HUDSON: "The Federal Reserve, by bailing out Wall Street, spent $13 trillion, more than tripling America's public debt just to give it away to Wall Street for the money that it had gambled and lost." RICHARD D WOLFF: "The reason we have a suddenly humungous deficit is because we had a failure of our private capitalist system, and that the government has come in to hold it up, to rescue it... When the government shores it up and borrows tremendous amounts of money ... it wants to make the people who pay for this be the poor people on Medicaid, the old people on Medicare."
