Will Washington Kill Us All?
Did you know that Washington keeps 450 nuclear ICBMs on
“hair-trigger alert”? Washington thinks that this makes us “safe.” The
reasoning, if it can be called reason, is that by being able to launch
in a few minutes, no one will try to attack the US with nuclear
weapons. US missiles are able to get on their way before the enemy’s
missiles can reach the US to destroy ours.
If this makes you feel safe, you need to read Eric Schlosser’s book, Command and Control.
The trouble with hair-triggers is that they make mistaken,
accidental, and unauthorized launch more likely. Schlosser provides a
history of almost launches that would have brought armageddon to the
world.
In Catalyst, a publication of the Union of Concerned Scientists,
Elliott Negin tells the story of Soviet Lt. Col. Stanislav Petrov. Just
after midnight in 1983 the Soviet Union’s early warning satellite
system set off the alarm that 5 US ICBMs were headed for the Soviet
Union.
Col. Petrov was supposed to inform the Soviet leader, who would have 8
to 10 minutes to decide whether to launch in retaliation. Who knows
what he would have decided. Instead Col. Petrov used his judgment.
There was no reason for the US to be attacking the Soviet Union.
Moreover, Petrov reasoned that an American attack would involve hundreds
of ICBMs, possibly thousands. He checked whether Soviet ground-based
radar had detected incoming ICBMs, and it had not. Petrov decided it
was a false alarm, and sat on it.
It turned out that the early warning system had mistaken a pattern of
sunlight reflection on clouds as missiles. This was a close call, but
Negin reports that “a failed computer chip, and an improperly installed
circuit card are some of the culprits” that could initiate nuclear war.
In other words, the sources of false alarms are numerous.
Fast forward to today. Imagine an American officer monitoring the US
early warning system. This officer has been listening to 15 years of
war propaganda accompanied by US invasions and bombings of 8 countries.
Terrorist warnings and security alerts abound, as do calls from
American and Israeli politicians for nuking Iran. The media has
convinced him that Russia has invaded Ukraine and is on the verge of
invading the Baltics and Poland. American troops and tanks have been
rushed to the Russian border. There is talk of arming Ukraine. Putin is
dangerous and is threatening nuclear war, running his strategic bombers
close to our borders and holding nuclear drills. The American officer
has just heard a Fox News general again call for “killing Russians.”
The Republicans have convinced him that Obama is selling out America to
Iran, with Senator Tom Cotton warning of nuclear war as a consequence.
We will all be killed because there is a Muslim in the White House.
Why isn’t anyone standing up for America, the patriotic American
officer wonders, just as the alarm goes off: Incoming ICBMs. Are they
Russian or Iranian? Was Israel right after all? A hidden Iranian
nuclear weapons program? Or has Putin decided that the US is in the way
of his reconstruction of the Soviet Empire, which the American media
affirms is Putin’s goal? There is no room for judgment in the American
officer’s mind. It has been set on hair-trigger by the incessant
propaganda that Americans call news. He passes on the warning.
Obama’s Russophobic neocon National Security Advisor is screaming:
“You can’t let Putin get away with this!” “It might be a false alarm,”
replies the nervous and agitated president. “You liberal pussy! Don’t
you know that Putin is dangerous!? Push the button!”
And there goes the world.
Considering the extreme Russophobia being created among Americans by
the Ministry of Propaganda, the demonization of Vladimir Putin–the “new
Hitler,” Vlad the Impaler– the propagandistic creation of “the Russian
threat,” the crazed neocon desire for US world hegemony, the hatred of
Russia and China as rising rivals capable of exercising independent
power, the loss of American Uni-power status and unconstrained
unilateral action. In the midst of these emotions and minds swayed not
by facts but by propaganda, hubris, and ideology, there is a great
chance that Washington’s response to a false alarm will bring the end of
life on earth.
How much confidence do you have in Washington? How many times has Washington–especially the crazed neocons–been wrong?
Remember the 3-week “cakewalk” Iraq war that would cost $70 billion
and be paid out of Iraqi oil revenues? Now the cost is $3,000 billion
and rising, and after 12 years the radical Islamic State controls half
of the country. To pay for the wars the Republicans want to
“privatize,” that is, take away, Social Security and Medicare.
Remember “Mission Accomplished” in Afghanistan? Twelve years later
the Taliban again control the country and Washington, after murdering
women, children, funerals, weddings, village elders, and kids’ soccer
games, has been driven out by a few thousand lightly armed Taliban.
The frustrations of these defeats have mounted in Washington and in
the military. The myth is that we lost because we didn’t use our full
force. We were intimidated by world opinion or by those damn student
protesters, or blocked from victory by some gutless president, a liberal
pussy who wouldn’t use all of our power. For the right-wing, rage is a
way of life.
The neocons believe fervently that History has chosen America to rule
the world, and here we are defeated by Vietnamese guerrillas, by Afghan
tribesmen, by Islamist fundamentalists, and now Putin has sent his
missiles to finish the job.
Whoever the White House fool is, he will push the button.
The situation is deteriorating, not improving. The Russians, hoping
for some sign of intelligence in Europe, contradict Washington’s
anti-Russian lies. Washington calls truthful contradiction of its own
propaganda to be Russian propaganda. Washington has ordered the
Broadcasting Board of Governors, a US government agency, headed by
Andrew Lack, a former chairman of NBC news, to counteract an alleged,
but non-existent, “Kremlin Troll Army” that is outshouting the Western
prostitutes and “perpetuating a pro-Russian dialogue” on the Internet.
In case you don’t remember, Lack is the idiot who declared RT to be a
“terrorist organization.” In other words, in Lack’s opinion, one that
he can enforce, a truth-teller is a terrorist.
Lack epitomizes well Washington’s view of truthful reporting: If it
doesn’t serve Washington’s propaganda, it is not true. It is terrorism.
Lack hopes to control RT with intimidation: In effect, he has told
RT to shut up and say what we want or we will close you down as a
terrorist organization. We might even arrest your American employees as
aiders and abettors of terrorism.
To counteract a Revanchist Russia and its Internet Troll Army, the
Obama regime is handing $15,400,000 to the insane Lack to use to
discredit every truthful statement that emerges from the English
language versions of Russian media. This amount, of course, will rise
dramatically. Soon it will be in the billions of dollars, while
Americans are evicted from their homes and sent to prison for their
debts.
In his budget request, Lack, who seems to lack every aspect of
humanity, including intelligence, integrity, and morality, justified his
request, which will be granted, for the hard-earned money of Americans,
whose standard of living is falling, with the wild assertion that
Russia “threatens Russia’s neighbors and, by extension, the United
States and its Western allies.”
Lack promises to do even more: “The US international media is now set
forth to refute Russian propaganda and influence the minds of Russians
and Russian-speakers in the former Soviet Union, Europe and around the
world.” Lack is going to propagandize against Russia inside Russia.
Of course, the CIA organizations–the National Endowment for Democracy
and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty–will be enriched by this
anti-Russian propaganda campaign and will support it wholeheartedly.
Therefore, the Union of Concerned Scientists’ call for cooperation
with Russia to take ICBMs off hair-trigger status is unlikely to occur.
How can nuclear tensions be reduced when Washington is building tensions
as fast as it possibly can? Washington’s Ministry of Propaganda has
reconstructed Putin as Osama bin Laden, as Saddam Hussein, demonized
figures, bogymen who evoke fear from the brainwashed American sheeple.
Russia is transformed into al Qaeda lusting for another attack on the
World Trade Center and for the Red Army (many Americans think Russia is
still communist) to roll across Europe.
Gorbachev was a trick. He deceived the old movie actor. The
deceived Americans are sitting ducks, and here come the ICBMs. The
crazed views of the American politicians, military, and people are
unable to comprehend truth or to recognize reality.
The propagandistic American “media” and the crazed neoconservatives have set humanity on the path to destruction.
The Union of Concerned Scientists, of which I am a member, need to
come to their senses. It is impossible to work out a reduction in
nuclear threat as long as one side is going all out to demonize the
other. The demonization of Russia and its leader by the New York Times,
Washington Post, CNN, Fox News, and the rest of the American Propaganda
Ministry, by almost the entirety of the House and Senate, and by the
White House makes reducing the threat of nuclear war impossible.
The American people and the entire world need to understand that the
threat to life on earth resides in Washington and that until Washington
is fundamentally and totally changed, this threat will remain as the
worse threat to life on earth. Global Warming can disappear instantly
in Nuclear Winter.

What is your viewpoint about the situation in Donbass region?
Could you give us some prognosis of further development of the
Ukrainian conflict?
For centuries Ukraine was part of Russia and then the Soviet Union.
When the Soviet Union collapsed, Washington insisted on breaking Ukraine
apart from Russia. This separation was required both by the Brzezinski
doctrine and by the neoconservative doctrine of US world hegemony.
The creation of an independent Ukrainian state did not in itself
succeed in breaking Ukraine from Russia. The southern and eastern
provinces are inhabited by Russians. There is much intermarriage, with
relatives in both countries. And long integration within Russia had
integrated the Ukrainian economy with Russia. Also, these historic
connections resulted in favorable economic standing for Ukraine in trade
with Russia.
When the Washington-financed and orchestrated “Orange Revolution”
failed to deliver Ukraine into Washington’s hands, Washington spent $5
billion dollars over the next decade cultivating and grooming Ukrainian
politicians and creating Washington-funded NGOs capable of organizing
mass protests in Kiev.
When Russia used diplomacy to block Washington’s planned invasion of
Syria and bombing of Iran, Washington realized that a New Russia had
appeared, beyond Washington’s control, that was capable of blocking
Washington’s intentions. Consequently, suddenly Washington’s focus
shifted from the Middle East to Russia. The groomed Ukrainian
politicians were assembled. The NGOs put the demonstrators in the
streets. The democratically elected Ukrainian government was
overthrown, and Washington’s chosen puppets were put in office as per
the intercepted telephone call between Victoria Nuland the US
ambassador in Kiev.
Now Russia has an Ukrainian problem, brought to Vladimir Putin courtesy of Washington.
Washington hoped that its grab of Ukraine would result in Russia being
evicted from its naval base in Crimea, but this hope was frustrated by
the Crimean people, who voted overwhelmingly to reunite with Mother
Russia. This enabled Russia to retain its warm water port.
The Russian provinces of eastern and southern Ukraine made the same
vote and request, but the Russian government refused the request.
Possibly the Russian government was under too much pressure from the
West. Alternatively, perhaps the Russian government hoped to retain a
Russian population within Ukraine in order to regain a political lever
over Kiev. It is not in Russia’s or Ukraine’s interest for there to be
conflict between the two.
Statements from Washington’s puppet government in Kiev about killing
Russians and prohibiting the official use of the Russian language,
together with the destruction of Soviet war memorials in memory of the
Red Army’s liberation of Ukraine from Hitler’s Wehrmacht, made the
Russian populations of Ukraine feel threatened. These threatened people
organized military forces to defend themselves from the attacks from
Kiev and formed independent republics. So far the Kiev forces have been
unable to subdue the so-called “break-away provinces.”
In my opinion, the Russian government believed that Europe had more
sense and more independence from Washington than it possesses. Russia
thought that Europe would want to avoid the conflict that Washington was
preparing for them and, therefore, would be reassured by the Russian
government’s refusal of the break-away provinces’ requests and Russia’s
lack of provocative action. Russia is not the problem, Putin kept
telling the European vassals of Washington.
As it turned out, Europe is more firmly under Washington’s thumb than
the Russian government realized. European politicians are even willing
to harm the interests of their own countries in order to serve
Washington.
The Russian government now understands that Europe lacks political
independence. Putin has publicly acknowledged this fact. This improved
understanding of the situation that Russia faces requires a rethinking
of the situation in Ukraine.
Of the break-away provinces to unite with Russia, civil war in
Ukraine is almost certain. Washington is already moving to arm and to
train the weak and disorganized Ukrainian military. The longer Russia
waits, the more formidable will be the opponent that Washington creates
for Russia. Moreover, Washington might move missile bases into Ukraine,
both offensive nuclear missiles and anti-ballistic missile defensive
missiles that reduce the credibility of Russia’s nuclear forces.
The longer Russia tolerates the extreme propaganda against Russia,
setting Russia up as a threat to the West, while Russia is surrounded
with more powerful and threatening US and NATO military bases, the
harder it will be for Russia to retain an independent policy and its
sovereign existence.
Washington is determined to prolong civil war in Ukraine. Russia
should frustrate this intention by accepting the requests of the
break-away provinces for unity with Russia. Once the Russian government
accepts the break-away provinces, a continuation of war means war with
Russia. Europe will follow Washington a long way, but not into war with
Russia. However, Europe can be gradually eased into war with Russia,
which is why Washington intends to prolong the conflict in Ukraine.
In my opinion, Russia can stop the civil war immediately by accepting
the requests for unification or declaring that the provinces are under
Russian protection. Perhaps the model is Russia’s success in South
Ossetia.
How the US mass media covers the military conflict in the East of Ukraine?
The US print and TV media do not mention that the Russian peoples in
eastern and southern Ukraine are under military attack from the US
puppet government in Kiev, resulting in the deaths of thousands of
civilians. The reports in the presstitute Western media are that Russian
tank columns and Russian troops have invaded Ukraine and are in the
process of annexing the eastern and southern regions. Americans are told
that Putin wants to restore the Soviet Empire. Polls show that 63% of
the US population believes the anti-Russian propaganda and regards
Russia as a threat to the US and Europe. The cold war has been restarted
in a way that could result in a hot war and the end of life on earth.
There are even reports that Russia is preparing to invade the Baltics
and Poland. The hysteria is being whipped to a high pitch. The new head
of the US Broadcasting Board of Governors, Andrew Lack, has declared
the English language Russian TV program RT to be a terrorist
organization comparable to Boco Haram and the Islamic State.
Consequently, Washington is sending tanks, military aircraft, and
troops to “defend the Baltics”. Washington is working to incorporate
both Georgia and Ukraine into NATO so that the next time Georgia
assaults South Ossetia Russia cannot repel the assault unless Russia is
willing to go to war with NATO and the US.
Americans have forgot all about the “Muslim threat”. Now it is the
“Russian threat”. The Russians are the new enemy that will guarantee
massive profits for the military/security complex. Nothing is more
important to Americans than money, and Russia is the excuse needed to
bleed the taxpayers for the money to “resist Russian aggression”.
How do you assess the current political situation in Greece?
Do you admit the possibility of strengthening of the cooperation between
Russia and Greece, if we take into account the current political
situation in the world?
The way the Western financial system works is this: the private banks
get governments into more debt than they can service. John Perkins, one
of those responsible, explains the process in his book “Confessions of
an Economic Hit Man”. Read it and you will understand American inequity. Once a country is indebted more than it can pay, in comes the
International Monetary Fund. The IMF tells the country, don’t worry we
will protect your credit reputation by lending you the money to pay your
creditors.
However, the IMF money is not a gift. It is a loan, and the “rescued
country” has to repay the IMF loan by cutting social pensions and
social services such as health care, by throwing people out of their
government jobs, by lowering the minimum wage, and by selling off
valuable public assets such as ports, municipal water companies, and
national park lands, such as the protected Greek islands, to clients of
the creditor banks.
In other words, the indebted country is looted in order to protect its credit rating.
This is the way Western Capitalism works. It is a looting mechanism
described in idealistic language by neoliberal economists and
libertarians, mentalities that also flourish in Russia.
No country would agree to the conditions if it were independent.
However, under the dollar payments system, no country is independent
except the US. Countries are propagandized to believe that they are cut
off from credit unless they agree to being looted by the clients of
their creditor banks.
This is the way Western financial capitalism works.
The problem for Greece is that the conditions imposed on Greece are
so extreme as to produce depression. The IMF/EU “adjustment program”
imposed on Greece has resulted in economic collapse. The simple fact is
that the austerity program drives down the economy, thus worsening the
burden of the debt.
Faced with this challenge, Greeks voted in a new government, but the
new government is one with 36% of the vote, a larger vote than its
various rivals, but not a convincing majority that allows Greece to
stand up to its creditors and to the EU, which is using the “sovereign
debt crisis” to destroy the remaining sovereignty of the individual
member countries of the EU.
As I explain in my book, The Failure of Laissez Faire Capitalism,
Greece is the test case for establishing two new principles: One is
that creditors are not responsible for over-lending or for making bad
loans. Instead, the people of the indebted country are responsible.
The other is that the tendency of governments to over-borrow means that
the EU government takes over their fiscal policy and makes the tax and
spend decisions for the EU member countries. In other words, European
countries are to be ruled from Brussels just as the 50 American states,
despite the US Constitution, are ruled by Washington. If the EU and the
private banks decide that they will not accept any renegotiation of the
debt conditions from Greece and that the only issue is pay up or else,
the new Greek government has the alternative of applying to the BRICS
for financial support.
If Greece is faced with Western intransigence, Greece’s alternative
is to leave, or be kicked out of, the EU, the euro, and NATO and to ally
with support offered by Russia and the BRICS. Intransigence on the part of the EU and Greece’s creditors could result
in Greece turning to Russia and the BRICS. If this were to happen,
other EU member countries, such as Italy, Spain, and Portugal, which are
threatened with the same horrific consequences of austerity, could also
turn to the BRICS. The consequence would be to unravel, the EU, the
euro, and NATO, a highly desirable outcome in terms of peace and
justice.
Clearly, Russia has handed Greece the trump card. But does the new
Greek government dare to play it? From Iran through Africa, South
America, and Indonesia, leaders of governments who have diverged from
Washington’s policy have been overthrown or assassinated. Stephen
Kinzer’s book, The Brothers, provides case studies of the overthrow of
governments by CIA Director Allen Dulles and US Secretary of State John
Foster Dulles. The US even tried to overthrow Chavez in Venezuela whose
electoral support was far higher than the new Greek government.
Does the US government face the credibility gap from the
American society? If so what measures should be undertaken to overcome
this internal political situation?
The American people show conflicting signs. Polls show that there is
very little support for President Obama and for the Congress. The
majority of the population is disgusted. The question is: what precisely
is the public disgusted about, because polls also show that the public,
or 63% of it, has accepted the anti-Russian, anti-Putin propaganda put
out by Washington and the Western media.
So this is a paradox. Americans know that the US government lied to
them about Saddam Hussein, Libya, Assad of Syria, Afghanistan and the
Taliban, Iranian nuclear weapons and a long list of other things. Yet,
despite this awareness, the American people have accepted the latest lie
that Russia is a threat.
The US does not have an independent media. The print and TV media serve
as a Ministry of Propaganda for Washington and the powerful private
interests, such as Wall Street, the military/security complex, the
Israel Lobby, the extractive industries (energy, mining, timber), and
agribusiness (Monsanto). For an American to be informed requires much
time spent visiting Internet sites and learning which are reliable and
accurate. Few Americans, pressed as they are to earn enough to pay their
bills with many working two or three part-time jobs, simply have not
the time or energy to devote to being informed.
How do you see the future of the European Union? Do you admit
the possibility of the new alignment of political forces in the world
and subsequent establishment of the new world order?
The “new world order” means different things to different people. The
neoconservatives who control US foreign policy are determined that the
ONLY world order is Washington’s hegemony over the world. No other
“world orders” are permissible. The question that the world faces is
whether this determination on the part of neoconservatives to dominate
the planet results in nuclear war that destroys us all. Washington under
neoconservative leadership and control is the greatest threat that
humanity has ever faced.
Possibly, Western economic collapse and/or a successful
reorganization of economic life by the BRICS and associated countries
can curtail Washington’s appetite for power as Washington’s power goes
into decline. If so, the world could enjoy an era of peace and
prosperity. It really depends on how clever Russia, China, and allied
nations are at remaking the world.
How the American audience reacts to your
works/viewpoints/articles/statements and so on? Whether such political
views get a big response in the American society?
On a scale of 1-10, my website has a viewer ranking of 6, which is
the highest ever attained by a one-person website. Only large
institutions, such as Harvard University and Amazon.com are found among
the higher ranking. Moreover, a large number of other websites, both
large and small, reproduce my columns. Additionally, my columns are
translated into many languages. The translations about which I am
informed are Chinese, Russian, German, French, Danish, Dutch, Spanish,
Italian, Portuguese, Polish, and Czech.
I receive many interview requests from alternative media within the US
and from foreign countries and many requests to travel to foreign
countries to speak at conferences.
Although I seem to be one of the most well known “public
intellectuals”, only a small percentage of the US population knows who I
am. The same was true when I was one of the principle members of the
Reagan administration. For the most part, the Americans are an
insouciant people. Their grasp of the world in which they live is very
limited, and it is this failure that dooms them.

Is the US or the World Coming to an End?
It will be one or the other

2014 is shaping up as a year of reckoning for the United States.
Two pressures are building on the US dollar. One pressure comes from
the Federal Reserve’s declining ability to rig the price of gold as
Western gold supplies shrivel and market knowledge of the Fed’s illegal
price rigging spreads. The evidence of massive amounts of naked shorts
being dumped into the paper gold futures market at times of day when
trading is thin is unequivocal. It has become obvious that the price of
gold is being rigged in the futures market in order to protect the
dollar’s value from QE.
The other pressure arises from the Obama regime’s foolish threats of
sanctions on Russia. Other countries are no longer willing to tolerate
Washington’s abuse of the world dollar standard. Washington uses the
dollar-based international payments system to inflict damage on the
economies of countries that resist Washington’s political hegemony.
Russia and China have had enough. As I have reported and as Peter Koenig reports here http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article38165.htm Russia
and China are disconnecting their international trade from the dollar.
Henceforth, Russia will conduct its trade, including the sale of oil and
natural gas to Europe, in rubles and in the currencies of its BRICS
partners.
This means a big drop in the demand for US dollars and a corresponding drop in the dollar’s exchange value.
As John Williams (shadowstats.com) has made clear, the US economy has
not recovered from the downturn in 2008 and has weakened further. The
vast majority of the US population is hard pressed from the lack of
income growth for years. As the US is now an import-dependent economy, a
drop in the dollar’s value will raise US prices and push living
standards lower.
All evidence points to US economic failure in 2014, and that is the conclusion of John Williams’ April 9 report.
This year could also see the breakup of NATO and even the EU.
Washington’s reckless coup in Ukraine and threat of sanctions against
Russia have pushed its NATO puppet states onto dangerous ground.
Washington misjudged the reaction in Ukraine to its overthrow of the
elected democratic government and imposition of a stooge government.
Crimea quickly departed Ukraine and rejoined Russia. Other former
Russian territories in Ukraine might soon follow. Protesters in Lugansk,
Donetsk, and Kharkov are demanding their own referendums. Protesters
have declared the Donetsk People’s Republic and Kharkov People’s
Republic. Washington’s stooge government in Kiev has threatened to put
the protests down with violence. http://rt.com/news/eastern-ukraine-violence-threats-405/ Washington claims that the protests are organized by Russia, but no one believes Washington, not even its Ukrainian stooges.
Russian news reports have identified US mercenaries among the Kiev
force that has been sent to put down the separatists in eastern Ukraine.
A member of the right-wing, neo-Nazi Fatherland Party in the Kiev
parliament has called for shooting the protesters dead.
Violence against the protesters is likely to bring in the Russian
Army and result in the return to Russia of its former territories in
Eastern Ukraine that were attached to Ukraine by the Soviet Communist
Party.
With Washington out on a limb issuing threats hand over fist,
Washington is pushing Europe into two highly undesirable confrontations.
Europeans do not want a war with Russia over Washington’s coup in Kiev,
and Europeans understand that any real sanctions on Russia, if
observed, would do far more damage to Europeans. Within the EU, growing
economic inequality among the countries, high unemployment, and
stringent economic austerity imposed on poorer members have produced
enormous strains. Europeans are in no mood to bear the brunt of a
Washington-orchestrated conflict with Russia. While Washington presents
Europe with war and sacrifice, Russia and China offer trade and
friendship. Washington will do its best to keep European politicians
bought-and-paid-for and in line with Washington’s policies, but the
downside for Europe of going along with Washington is now much larger.
Across many fronts, Washington is emerging in the world’s eye as
duplicitous, untrustworthy, and totally corrupt. A Securities and
Exchange Commission prosecuting attorney, James Kidney used the occasion
of his retirement to reveal that higher ups had squelched his
prosecutions of Goldman Sachs and other “banks too big to fail,” because
his SEC bosses were not focused on justice but “on getting high-paying

This audacious recklessness comes on top of Washington’s overthrow of
the Ukrainian government, the NSA spying scandal, Seymour Hersh’s
investigative report that the Sarin gas attack in Syria was a false flag
event arranged by NATO member Turkey in order to justify a US military
attack on Syria, Washington’s forcing down Bolivian President Evo
Morales’ presidential plane to be searched, Saddam Hussein’s “weapons of
mass destruction,” the misuse of the Libyan no-fly resolution for
military attack, and on and on. Essentially, Washington has so badly
damaged other countries’ confidence in the judgment and integrity of the
US government that the world has lost its belief in US leadership.
Washington is reduced to threats and bribes and increasingly presents as
a bully.
The self-inflicted hammer blows to Washington’s credibility have
taken a toll. The most serious blow of all is the dawning realization
everywhere that Washington’s crackpot conspiracy theory of 9/11 is
false. Large numbers of independent experts as well as more than one
hundred first responders have contradicted every aspect of Washington’s
absurd conspiracy theory. No aware person believes that a few Saudi
Arabians, who could not fly airplanes, operating without help from any
intelligence agency, outwitted the entire National Security State, not
only all 16 US intelligence agencies but also all intelligence agencies
of NATO and Israel as well.
Nothing worked on 9/11. Airport security failed four times in one
hour, more failures in one hour than have occurred during the other
116,232 hours of the 21st century combined. For the first time in
history the US Air Force could not get interceptor fighters off the
ground and into the sky. For the first time in history Air Traffic
Control lost airliners for up to one hour and did not report it. For the
first time in history low temperature, short-lived, fires on a few
floors caused massive steel structures to weaken and collapse. For the
first time in history 3 skyscrapers fell at essentially free fall
acceleration without the benefit of controlled demolition removing
resistance from below.
Two-thirds of Americans fell for this crackpot story. The left-wing
fell for it, because they saw the story as the oppressed striking back
at America’s evil empire. The right-wing fell for the story, because
they saw it as the demonized Muslims striking out at American goodness.
President George W. Bush expressed the right-wing view very well: “They
hate us for our freedom and democracy.”
But no one else believed it, least of all the Italians. Italians had
been informed some years previously about government false flag events
when their President revealed the truth about secret Operation Gladio.
Operation Gladio was an operation run by the CIA and Italian
intelligence during the second half of the 20th century to set off bombs
that would kill European women and children in order to blame
communists and, thereby, erode support for European communist parties.
Italians were among the first to make video presentations challenging

Zero was produced as a film investigating 9/ll by the Italian company
Telemaco. Many prominent people appear in the film along with
independent experts. Together, they disprove every assertion made by the
US government regarding its explanation of 9/11.
It is impossible for anyone who watches this film to believe one word of the official explanation of 9/11.
The conclusion is increasingly difficult to avoid that elements of
the US government blew up three New York skyscrapers in order to destroy
Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Iran, and Hezbollah and to
launch the US on the neoconservatives agenda of US world hegemony.
China and Russia protested but accepted Libya’s destruction even
though it was to their own detriment. But Iran became a red line.
Washington was blocked, so Washington decided to cause major problems
for Russia in Ukraine in order to distract Russia from Washington’s
agenda elsewhere.
China has been uncertain about the trade-offs between its trade
surpluses with the US and Washington’s growing encirclement of China
with naval and air bases. China has come to the conclusion that China
has the same enemy as Russia has–Washington.
One of two things is likely: Either the US dollar will be abandoned
and collapse in value, thus ending Washington’s superpower status and
Washington’s threat to world peace, or Washington will lead its puppets
into military conflict with Russia and China. The outcome of such a war
would be far more devastating than the collapse of the US dollar.
