Republican computer expert Michael Connell – who was implicated in the rigging of the 2004 Ohio presidential Election, ordered by an Ohio judge to appear for a deposition on the day before the November 4, 2008 Election, but evasive in answering questions after revealing that he and his wife had been threatened – has just died in an airplane crash.
Attorneys in the November 4 hearing have said that Connell's testimony could well have led to the subpoenaing and questioning under oath of Karl Rove, who, they said, would be unable to use executive privilege as an excuse to avoid such a subpoena in a civil RICO case.
