Why Do We Seek the Truth?

Scientists, statisticians, and successful corporate CEOs (e.g., Paul O'Neill) have one thing in common: They incessantly gather facts and do analyses aimed at expanding the frontiers of knowledge. Fundamental researchers have a faith that what they learn will eventually be put to use to better the human condition; their time horizon usually lies decades in the future. CEOs have duties to their stockholders -- and their employees -- to maintain quarter-to-quarter profitability. Responsible leaders of great nations shepherd all of the above.

I have wondered this--has anyone compared the passenger lists from 911--say over ten years, to look for differences.

Seconly, could a single sabatueur programmed the guidance system. Is there a manual override--maybe in trying to be too safe we left ourselves open.
