One 77-year-old’s search for the truth: 9/11, election fraud, illegal wars, Wall Street criminality, a stolen nuke, the neocon wars, control of the U.S. government by global corporations, the unjustified assault on Social Security, media complicity, and the "Great Recession" about to become the second Great Depression. "The most important truths are hidden from us by the powerful few who strive to steal the American dream by keeping We the People in the dark."

The 21st Century: An Era Of Fraud
Paul Craig Roberts
In the last years of the 20th century fraud entered US foreign policy in a new way. On false pretenses Washington dismantled Yugoslavia and Serbia in order to advance an undeclared agenda. In the 21st century this fraud multiplied many times. Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, and Libya were destroyed, and Iran and Syria would also have been destroyed if the President of Russia had not prevented it. Washington is also behind the current destruction of Yemen, and Washington has enabled and financed the Israeli destruction of Palestine. Additionally, Washington operated militarily within Pakistan without declaring war, murdering many women, children, and village elders under the guise of “combating terrorism.” Washington’s war crimes rival those of any country in history.
I have documented these crimes in my columns and books (Clarity Press).
Anyone who still believes in the purity of Washington’s foreign policy is a lost soul.
Russia and China now have a strategic alliance that is too strong for Washington. Russia and China will prevent Washington from further encroachments on their security and national interests. Those countries important to Russia and China will be protected by the alliance. As the world wakes up and sees the evil that the West represents, more countries will seek the protection of Russia and China.
America is also failing on the economic front. My columns and my book, The Failure of Laissez Faire Capitalism, which has been published in English, Chinese, Korean, Czech, and German, have shown how Washington has stood aside, indeed cheering it on, while the short-term profit interests of management, shareholders, and Wall Street eviscerated the American economy, sending manufacturing jobs, business know-how, and technology, along with professional tradeable skill jobs, to China, India, and other countries, leaving America with such a hollowed out economy that the median family income has been falling for years. Today 50% of 25 year-old Americans are living with their parents or grandparents because they cannot find employment sufficient to sustain an independent existance. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-10-27/why-are-half-all-25-year-olds-still-living-their-parents-federal-reserve-answers This brutal fact is covered up by the presstitute US media, a source of fantasy stories of America’s economic recovery.
The facts of our existence are so different from what is reported that I am astonished. As a former professor of economics, Wall Street Journal editor and Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy, I am astonished at the corruption that rules in the financial sector, the Treasury, the financial regulatory agencies, and the Federal Reserve. In my day, there would have been indictments and prison sentences of bankers and high government officials.
In America today there are no free financial markets. All the markets are rigged by the Federal Reserve and the Treasury. The regulatory agencies, controlled by those the agencies are supposed to regulate, turn a blind eye, and even if they did not, they are helpless to enforce any law, because private interests are more powerful than the law.
Even the government’s statistical agencies have been corrupted. Inflation measures have been concocted in order to understate inflation. This lie not only saves Washington from paying Social Security cost-of-living adjustments and frees the money for more wars, but also by understating inflation, the government can create real GDP growth by counting inflation as real growth, just as the government creates 5% unemployment by not counting any discouraged workers who have looked for jobs until they can no longer afford the cost of looking and give up. The official unemployment rate is 5%, but no one can find a job. How can the unemployment rate be 5% when half of 25-year olds are living with relatives because they cannot afford an independent existence? As John Williams (shadowfacts) reports, the unemployment rate that includes those Americans who have given up looking for a job because there are no jobs to be found is 23%.
The Federal Reserve, a tool of a small handful of banks, has succeeded in creating the illusion of an economic recovery since June, 2009, by printing trillions of dollars that found their way not into the economy but into the prices of financial assets. Artificially booming stock and bond markets are the presstitute financial media’s “proof” of a booming economy.
The handful of learned people that America has left, and it is only a small handful, understand that there has been no recovery from the previous recession and that a new downturn is upon us. John Williams has pointed out that US industrial production, when properly adjusted for inflation, has never recovered its 2008 level, much less its 2000 peak, and has again turned down.
The American consumer is exhausted, overwhelmed by debt and lack of income growth. The entire economic policy of America is focused on saving a handful of NY banks, not on saving the American economy.
Economists and other Wall Street shills will dismiss the decline in industrial production as America is now a service economy. Economists pretend that these are high-tech services of the New Economy, but in fact waitresses, bartenders, part time retail clerks, and ambulatory health care services have replaced manufacturing and engineering jobs at a fraction of the pay, thus collapsing effective aggregate demand in the US. On occasions when neoliberal economists recognize problems, they blame them on China.
It is unclear that the US economy can be revived. To revive the US economy would require the re-regulation of the financial system and the recall of the jobs and US GDP that offshoring gave to foreign countries. It would require, as Michael Hudson demonstrates in his new book, Killing the Host, a revolution in tax policy that would prevent the financial sector from extracting economic surplus and capitalizing it in debt obligations paying interest to the financial sector.
The US government, controlled as it is by corrupt economic interests, would never permit policies that impinged on executive bonuses and Wall Street profits. Today US capitalism makes its money by selling out the American economy and the people dependent upon it.
In “freedom and democracy” America, the government and the economy serve interests totally removed from the interests of the American people. The sellout of the American people is protected by a huge canopy of propaganda provided by free market economists and financial presstitutes paid to lie for their living.
When America fails, so will Washington’s vassal states in Europe, Canada, Australia, and Japan. Unless Washington destroys the world in nuclear war, the world will be remade, and the corrupt and dissolute West will be an insignificant part of the new world.

Paul Craig Roberts called this blog to my attention. So I will repeat his preamble as follows: US Government Drives Toward War With Russia. The arrogant stupidity of the US government is driving the West into war with Russia. NATO members are enabling the drive toward war, and some of the more stupid ones such as Poland are egging on the momentum toward war. Russia is building up its forces in response to NATO’s buildup on Russia’s borders. On January 3rd, 2016, the commander of Russian Airborne Troops, Colonel-General Vladimir Shamanov, said that the airborne divisions will be strenthened with six tank divisions, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles and two divisions of electronic warfare. The superior capability of Russian conventional forces means that once Washington starts the war, Washington will be forced into the use of nuclear weapons in order to avoid defeat. The crazed American government is bringing the world to its end. Russia Is Preparing a Military Response to the Expansion of NATO. [End preamble]

Russia Is Preparing a Military Response to the Expansion of NATO
Translated by Ollie Richardson for Fort Russ
12th January, 2016
Original Here
In response to the creation of the mobile forces of NATO, Russia can dispatch heavy military equipment in a Western direction.
The
beginning of 2016 marked a new escalation in military tensions near the
borders of Russia. Yesterday in Lithuania, as part of operation
"Atlantic Resolve", alongside the standard armaments, the main part of the American battalion of NATO troops from the 2nd cavalry regiment of the US army, stationed in Germany, arrived. The Northern Atlantic Alliance does not hide the fact that the military presence in the Baltic states will grow.
Yesterday
the Minister of Defence of Poland Antoni Macierewicz, on the Polish
radio station 'Maryja', once again expressed the hope that in the near
future at the NATO summit in Warsaw will overcome the "German veto" on
the formation throughout the country of permanent military bases of the
Alliance.
In
response, Russia continues to improve its forces, using the elements of
hybrid war. Moscow is worried about the bellicose attitude of Poland.
This country has already approached NATO with a request to place nuclear weapons on
its territory. According to the Deputy Minister of Defence of
Poland, Tomasz Siemoniak, the Alliance has a program in which NATO
members can have nuclear weapons in the country-ally. This is highly
likely, and not only in Poland or Lithuania, but also in other countries
of Eastern Europe. This unequivocally was made clear recently by the
Supreme commander of the allied NATO forces, General of the U.S. air
force, Philip Breedlove. He said that, in regards to Russia, it is time
for "tough measures". Rigidity must manifest itself in the sending of
American troops to Europe and "high-quality" training of the armed
forces of the United States for a possible fight with a "former enemy in
the cold war".
Operation
"Atlantic Resolve" began in the spring of 2014, i.e. from the time that
Crimea became a part of Russia. In Lithuania and other Baltic States
leaders then claimed that a similar thing could happen to them, and
appealed for help to NATO. Since then, the soldiers of the Pentagon are
on a rotating basis, ever present in the region. According to open
sources, rotational troops deployed in Rukla (Kaunas district) consist
of a mixed mechanized infantry battalion "Iron wolf". Here, on the 14th
of January, there will be a delivery of military equipment, including
armored Stryker, armored SUVs and trucks. Basically it is a wheeled
machine, equipped with automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns,
and means of concealment.
In
fact, the Americans have a unit in Lithuania for action in a local
armed conflict. But there is already a concentration of offensive
weapons. According to open data, NATO, in the village Munici
of Šiauliai district, there is already heavy American military equipment
– Abrams tanks and Bradley IFV. According to the latest plans of the
Alliance, they should use units of rapid reaction forces, which are
composed of national contingents of NATO. The same equipment was placed
in Latvia and Estonia. In addition, the fleet in the Lithuanian Šiauliai
was replenished with 16 NATO fighter jets. In all Baltic States units
are placed from the American military, the function of which is to carry
out military and pre-war actions. At the borders of the Russian
Federation elements of electronic intelligence of the Alliance were
deployed. That is, the U.S. and its allies continue to build up military
strength at the borders of the Russian Federation.
The
defense Ministry of Lithuania reported that, according to the decisions
of NATO for collective defence, allies of the US will remain in
Lithuania until such a time where the situation demands security.
Judging
by the situation in Eastern Europe, their presence will be there for a
long time. The American media is now actively raising the issue of the
"Russian Bear", which is supposedly "very dangerous". They say it's time
"to stop him from hugging". This theme fits well with, according to the
Pentagon, the new national security Strategy of the Russian Federation
(NSC RF), which was signed on December 31st by President Vladimir Putin.
In the document the military activities of the USA and other NATO
countries are viewed as "a threat to the national security" of Russia.
The
previous NSS of the Russian Federation was adopted in May 2009, and it
was supposed to guide the next 10 years. But political and military
conditions have changed so a new document for the first post-Soviet
times gives a hard-hitting assessment of the U.S. and the North Atlantic
Alliance. Judging by what was said to German journalists the other day
by Putin, such a valuation has existed for a long time, but it was not
transparent, and here it was voiced. The head of Russia believes that
the main mistake of Western politicians after the collapse of the USSR
was "the development of military structures to the East" and NATO''s
desire to "reign" on the continent. That's why "now we are discussing
the crisis", said the President of the Russian Federation.
Such
conclusions are, it seems, based on facts. It is difficult to refute
what has been said at the annual meeting of the Defense Ministry last
December. The Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that in NATO countries
bordering Russia, "During this year the aircraft contingent has
increased eight times, and the number of military personnel by 13
times". To the borders of the Russian Federation "300 tanks and Infantry Vehicles were
additionally deployed and missile defense systems by Aegis Ashore. In
varying degrees of completeness are 310 aircraft-carriers capable of
carrying about 200 U.S. nuclear bombs".
"Tanks
and 300 BMP's are a technique for a full-fledged division. And she
hosted and saw deployment in Eastern Europe in less than a year. While
aircraft capable of carrying nuclear weapons have the flight time to our
industrial areas and cities of just 5 minutes" – said military expert
Lieutenant General Yury Netkachev. "Creating tasks to further militarize
is the problem", the General says, "NATO will only exacerbate the
situation, prompting Russia to respond". What the steps will be, you do
not have to guess. Despite the severe economic crisis, Moscow made a
decision not to reduce spending on defence and security.
Sergei
Shoigu, reporting on the 11th of December 2015, to the President,
stressed that next year will see the continued "building up of combat
capabilities of the Armed forces." According to him, measures will be
taken "to strengthen military forces in the West, southwest and Arctic
strategic directions". From open sources it is known that in 2016, in
addition to Arctic areas and the strengthening of groups in the Crimea
and the Northern Caucasus, the formation and management of basic
compounds of the 1st tank army of the Western military district will be
completed. The 6th (Leningrad region) and 20th (Voronezh) combined arms
army will be strengthened by new connections. Apparently, Moscow will respond to NATO plans to establish mobile units of the Alliance on the borders of the Russian Federation .
On
January 3rd, 2016 the commander of the Airborne Troops Colonel-General
Vladimir Shamanov said that the air assault brigades and divisions
"assumed the formation of six tank divisions," as well as "units of
unmanned aerial vehicles, including shock army" and two divisions of
electronic warfare. A similar set of weapons is necessary for a hybrid
war. Their possible presence in the Airborne shows the mobile component
is being referred to. Shamanov said that the strengthening of the combat
capability of the Airborne Troops will be discussed at the board
meeting of the Ministry of Defense on January 29th.
But
it is already clear that the basis of the formation of the Russian
armed forces from the mobile forced will likely involve the airborne
troops. In the modern history of Russian, tank units were not part of
the Airborne Forces. The formation suggests that the striking power of
the airborne forces, that is mobile forces, will be strengthened.
Apparently, the possibility will be considered that tanks and other
heavy military equipment will be pre-placed in the military bases near
areas of potential conflict (as Americans did in the Baltic States).
That is, the Western and North-Western borders of the Russian Federation
or military sites in Belarus, as it is already been underway for a long
time. In the area of these bases, in the daylight, the airborne division will parachute down to perform military missions on the maintenance and development of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles for combat.

Most of us were taught as kids that the United States of America is the greatest country in the world ...and perhaps many, if not most, of us still think it is. Here Paul Craig Roberts (who once was the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy under Ronald Reagan and an Editor of the Wall Street Journal) tells you why we now should know that "The US Government Is The Most Complete Criminal Organization In Human History."

The Proof Is In: The US Government Is The Most Complete Criminal Organization In Human History
Paul Craig Roberts
Unique among the countries on earth, the US government insists that its laws and dictates take precedence over the sovereignty of nations. Washington asserts the power of US courts over foreign nationals and claims extra-territorial jurisdiction of US courts over foreign activities of which Washington or American interest groups disapprove. Perhaps the worst results of Washington’s disregard for the sovereignty of countries is the power Washington has exercised over foreign nationals solely on the basis of terrorism charges devoid of any evidence.
Consider a few examples. Washington first forced the Swiss government to violate its own banking laws. Then Washington forced Switzerland to repeal its bank secrecy laws. Allegedly, Switzerland is a democracy, but the country’s laws are determined in Washington by people not elected by the Swiss to represent them.
Consider the “soccer scandal” that Washington concocted, apparently for the purpose of embarrassing Russia. The soccer organization’s home is Switzerland, but this did not stop Washington from sending FBI agents into Switzerland to arrest Swiss citizens. Try to imagine Switzerland sending Swiss federal agents into the US to arrest Americans.
Consider the $9 billion fine that Washington imposed on a French bank for failure to fully comply with Washington’s sanctions against Iran. This assertion of Washington’s control over a foreign financial institution is even more audaciously illegal in view of the fact that the sanctions Washington imposed on Iran and requires other sovereign countries to obey are themselves strictly illegal. Indeed, in this case we have a case of triple illegality as the sanctions were imposed on the basis of concocted and fabricated charges that were lies.
Or consider that Washington asserted its authority over the contract between a French shipbuilder and the Russian government and forced the French company to violate a contract at the expense of billions of dollars to the French company and a large number of jobs to the French economy. This was a part of Washington teaching the Russians a lesson for not following Washington’s orders in Crimea.
Try to imagine a world in which every country asserted the extra-territoriality of its law. The planet would be in permanent chaos with world GDP expended in legal and military battles.
Neoconned Washington claims that as History chose America to exercise its hegemony over the world, no other law is relevant. Only Washington’s will counts. Law itself is not even needed as Washington often substitutes orders for laws as when Richard Armitage, Deputy Secretary of State (an unelected position) told the President of Pakistan to do as he is told or “we will bomb you into the stone age.” http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/5369198.stm
Try to imagine the Presidents of Russia or China giving such an order to a sovereign nation.
In fact, Washington did bomb large areas of Pakistan, murdering thousands of women, children, and village elders. Washington’s justification was the assertion of the extra-territoriality of US military actions in other countries with which Washington is not at war.
As horrendous as all of this is, the worst of Washington’s crimes against other peoples is when Washington kidnaps citizens of other countries and renditions them to Guantanamo in Cuba or to secret dungeons in criminal states such as Egypt and Poland to be held and tortured in violation both of US law and international law. These egregious crimes prove beyond any doubt that the US government is the worst criminal enterprise that has ever existed on Earth.
When the criminal neoconservative George W. Bush regime launched its illegal invasion of Afghanistan, the criminal regime in Washington desperately needed “terrorists” in order to provide a justification for an illegal invasion that constitutes a war crime under international law. However, there were not any terrorists. So Washington dropped leaflets over warlord territories offering thousands in dollars in bounty money for “terrorists.” The warlords responded to the opportunity and captured every unprotected person and sold them to the Americans for the bounty.
The only evidence that the “terrorists” were terrorists is that the innocent people were sold to the Americans by warlords as “terrorists.”
Yesterday Fayez Mohammed Ahmed Al-Kandari was released after 14 years of torture by “freedom and democracy America.” The United States military officer, Col. Barry Wingard, who represented Al-Kandari said that “there simply is no evidence other than he is a Muslim in Afghanistan at the wrong time, other than double and triple hearsay statements, something I have never seen as justification for incarceration.” Much less, said Col. Wingard, was there cause for a litany of multi-year torture in an effort to force a confession to the alleged offenses.
Do not expect the Western prostitute media to report these facts to you. To find out, you must go to RT https://www.rt.com/usa/328329-kuwaiti-detainee-guantanamo-transfer/ or to Stephen Lendman http://sjlendman.blogspot.com or here to this site.
The presstitute Western media are part of Washington’s criminal operation.

Heads up dear readers. If any of you have money in a big bank, pull it out before you lose it. Why? Play these videos. Ellen Brown is the banking guru and knows all about the "bail-ins" and about how soon the big banks will start robbing people's bank accounts (i.e., some time this year). And the Government has far to little cash to compensate anyone.

In my previous posts of Paul Craig Roberts exposure of the Bureau of Labor Statistics' (fake) December Payroll Jobs Report. Here is a detailed report of the suffering of American families three years ago. And clearly they are worse off today than they were then. Meanwhile the despicable mainstream media are handsomely paid to repeat the government's lies.
37 Facts About How Cruel This Economy Has Been To Millions Of Desperate American Families
By The Economic Collapse Region: USA
Global Research, December 23, 2015 Theme: Poverty & Social Inequality
The Economic Collapse and Global Research 28 October 2012
First published in October 2012
Have you ever laid in bed awake at night with a knot in your stomach because you didn’t know how your family was possibly going to make it through the next month financially? Have you ever felt the desperation of not being able to provide the basic necessities for your family even though you tried as hard as you could? All over America tonight, there are millions of desperate families that are being ripped apart by this economy. There aren’t nearly enough jobs, and millions of Americans that actually do have jobs aren’t making enough to even provide the basics for their families.
When you have tried everything that you can think of and nothing works, it can be absolutely soul crushing. Today, one of my regular readers explained that he was not going to be online for a while because his power had been turned off. He has been out of work for quite a while, and eventually the money runs out. Have you ever been there? If you have ever experienced that moment, you know that it stays with you for the rest of your life. If you are single that is bad enough, but when you have to look into the eyes of your children and explain to them why there won’t be any dinner tonight or why they have to move into a homeless shelter it can feel like someone has driven a stake into your heart. In this article you will find a lot of very shocking economic statistics. But please remember that behind each statistic are the tragic stories of millions of desperately hurting American families.
Over the past decade, things have steadily gotten worse for American families no matter what our politicians have tried. Poverty and government dependence continue to rise. The cost of living continues to go up and incomes continue to go down. It is truly frightening to think about what this country is going to look like if current trends continue.
The following are 37 facts that show how cruel this economy has been to millions of desperate American families…
1. One recent survey discovered that 40 percent of all Americans have $500 or less in savings.
2. A different recent survey found that 28 percent of all Americans do not have a single penny saved for emergencies.
3. In the United States today, there are close to 10 million households that do not have a single bank account. That number has increased by about a million since 2009.
4. Family homelessness in the Washington D.C. region (one of the wealthiest regions in the entire country) has risen 23 percent since the last recession began.
5. The number of Americans living in poverty has increased by about 6 million over the past four years.
6. Median household income has fallen for four years in a row. Overall, it has declined by more than $4000 over the past four years.
7. 62 percent of middle class Americans say that they have had to reduce household spending over the past year.
8. According to a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center, 85 percent of middle class Americans say that it is more difficult to maintain a middle class standard of living today than it was 10 years ago.
9. In the United States today, 77 percent of all Americans are living to paycheck to paycheck at least some of the time.
10. In the United States today, more than 41 percent of all working age Americans are not working.
11. Since January 2009, the “labor force” in the United States has increased by 827,000, but “those not in the labor force” has increased by 8,208,000. This is how they have gotten the unemployment numbers to “come down”.
12. Sadly, 60 percent of the jobs lost during the last recession were mid-wage jobs, but 58 percent of the jobs created since then have been low wage jobs.
13. Today, about one out of every four workers in the United States brings home wages that are at or below the federal poverty level.
14. Right now, the United States actually has a higher percentage of workers doing low wage work than any other major industrialized nation does.
15. At this point, less than 25 percent of all jobs in the United States are “good jobs”, and that number continues to shrink.
16. There are now 20.2 million Americans that spend more than half of their incomes on housing. That represents a 46 percent increase from 2001.
17. According to USA Today, many Americans have actually seen their water bills triple over the past 12 years.
18. Electricity bills in the United States have risen faster than the overall rate of inflation for five years in a row.
19. In 1999, 64.1 percent of all Americans were covered by employment-based health insurance. Today, only 55.1 percent are covered by employment-based health insurance.
20. Health insurance premiums rose faster than the overall rate of inflation in 2011 and that is happening once again in 2012. In fact, it has been happening for a very long time.
21. According to one recent survey, approximately 10 percent of all employers in the United States plan to drop health coverage when key provisions of the new health care law kick in less than two years from now.
22. Back in 1983, the bottom 95 percent of all income earners had 62 cents of debt for every dollar that they earned. By 2007, that figure had soared to $1.48.
23. Total home mortgage debt in the United States is now about 5 times larger than it was just 20 years ago.
24. Total consumer debt in the United States has risen by 1700 percent since 1971.
25. Recently it was announced that total student loan debt in the United States has passed the one trillion dollar mark.
26. According to one recent survey, approximately one-third of all Americans are not paying their bills on time at this point.
27. Right now, approximately 25 million American adults are living at home with their parents.
28. The percentage of Americans that find that they are able to retire when they reach retirement age continues to decline. According to one new survey, 70 percent of middle class Americans plan to work during retirement and 30 percent plan to work until they are at least 80 years old.
29. The U.S. economy lost more than 220,000 small businesses during the recent recession.
30. In 2010, the number of jobs created at new businesses in the United States was less than half of what it was back in the year 2000.
31. Back in 2007, 19.2 percent of all American families had a net worth of zero or less than zero. By 2010, that figure had soared to 32.5 percent.
32. Approximately 57 percent of all children in the United States are living in homes that are either considered to be either “low income” or impoverished.
33. In the United States today, somewhere around 100 million Americans are considered to be either “poor” or “near poor”.
34. In October 2008, 30.8 million Americans were on food stamps. Today, 46.7 million Americans are on food stamps.
35. Approximately one-fourth of all children in the United States are enrolled in the food stamp program.
36. Right now, more than 100 million Americans are enrolled in at least one welfare program run by the federal government. And that does not even count Social Security or Medicare.
37. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, an all-time record 49 percent of all Americans live in a home where at least one person receives financial assistance from the federal government. Back in 1983, that number was less than 30 percent.
What makes all of this even more frightening is that many homeless shelters and food banks around the nation are so overloaded at this point that they are already over capacity. Just consider this example…
When Janice Coe, a homeless advocate in Loudoun County, learned through her prayer group that a young woman was sleeping in the New Carrollton Metro station with a toddler and a 2-month-old, she sprang into action.Keep in mind that Loudoun Country is smack dab in the middle of one of the wealthiest areas of Virginia.
Coe contacted the young woman and arranged for her to take the train to Virginia, where she put the little family up in a Comfort Suites hotel. Then Coe began calling shelters to see who could take them.
Despite several phone calls, she came up empty. Coe was shocked to learn that many of the local shelters that cater to families were full, including Good Shepherd Alliance, where Coe was once director of social services.
“I don’t know why nobody will take this girl in,” Coe said. “The baby still had a hospital bracelet on her wrist.”
So if things are that bad in the wealthy areas, exactly how bad are things getting in many of the poorer areas?
Unfortunately, things continue to get worse for this economy. DuPont has just announced plans to eliminate 1,500 jobs. There are more major layoff announcements almost every single day. So how bad will things get when our crumbling economic system finally collapses? When kind of chaos will be unleashed all over the nation when millions upon millions of Americans finally lose all hope?
In the introduction to this article, I mentioned that one of my regular readers has had his lights turned off. The following is how he described his situation…
No gas, no water, no electricity at my house. Couldn’t pay the bills. I’m broke. Desperately searching for any means of income, or at least enough cash to get the juice (electricity) restored.Hopefully a way can be found to get his situation turned around, but the truth is that there are tens of millions of other similar stories out there in America today.
Typing this missive in a dark house using the battery on my laptop. Feels like I’m camping out at home. Hope to get this situation fixed tomorrow… somehow. Needless to say, I *…. hate this.
